The University of Colorado - Boulder Naval ROTC Drill Meet is a premier collegiate competition that brings together 21 different NROTC units from across the country to test discipline, skill, and leadership. The Sea Devil Battalion at Arizona State proudly competes against other units, showcasing the battalion’s teamwork, professionalism, and pride across a wide range of military events.
The drill meet features a diverse set of events designed to challenge both physical and mental readiness. Competitions include, but are not limited to, armed drill, endurance, and military knowledge. Together, these events test precision, strength, endurance, and tactical understanding while encouraging collaboration and mutual support among participants.
In this competition, NROTC Midshipmen are placed in high-pressure situations that require clear communication, adaptability, and accountability - core qualities essential to future Navy and Marine Corps leaders. Through preparation and competition, participants build confidence, resilience, and respect for tradition while strengthening bonds within their units.
For Arizona State University NROTC, competing in the Colorado Boulder Drill Meet reinforces our commitment to developing leaders of character. The experience pushes our battalion to perform at the highest standard while fostering teamwork, discipline, and service, which are values that extend beyond the competition and into future careers in the Navy and Marine Corps.
Competing at the Colorado Boulder Drill Meet requires resources for travel, equipment, and training. Your support helps Arizona State University NROTC provide these opportunities, develop leaders of character, and empower midshipmen to excel both in and out of uniform.
