Celebrating 30 Years of the ILP

30th Anniversary Giving Campaign:

In honor of the program’s 30 years, we are asking at least 118 alumni and friends of the ILP to make a gift between October 9 – November 9, when our community will come together to celebrate the ILP’s history. 118 represents the 30 years of history, the current 58 students, and the next 30 years of impact. A gift of any size will help us achieve our goal - all gifts matter, no matter the amount!

By giving to this campaign, YOU will directly make a difference in the ILP’s ability to provide scholarships, professional development, service opportunities, and much more to the next generation of Indian law attorneys and advocates.

Former Congressman Ed Pastor has helped kick off the celebration with a $1,000 challenge match to the 30th anniversary campaign! Will you accept his challenge and give?

The Indian Legal Program (ILP) is celebrating 30 years of impacting students and making a difference in Indian Country.

The ILP provides a legal education and trains students to effectively engage the representation of Native peoples and seeks to promote an understanding of the differences between the legal systems of Indian Nations and those of the state and federal governments.

Today, the Indian Legal Program has become one of the best in the nation at a top 8 public law school and #27 best law school by U.S. News & World Report.

Graduates of the ILP are working at all levels of tribal, state and federal government, as well as in private practice and nonprofits.

Goals of the ILP:

  • Promote scholarship in the field of Indian Law
  • Increase the number of skilled Indian law practitioners
  • Impact Indian country by partnering with tribes and organizations on meaningful community projects
  • Thank you for your support and commitment to the ILP community!
