Student Health Outreach for Wellness (SHOW) is Arizona’s first interprofessional student-run clinic that provides access to free health care for vulnerable populations. SHOW has student and faculty volunteers from a variety of different disciplines from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona who work together to provide a wide assortment of health services.
On October 27, 2018, SHOW will host their 5th Annual Health Fair on the Human Services Campus in downtown Phoenix. The SHOW Health Fair provides free health assessments, screenings, and informational resources for those experiencing homelessness. Services provided at the health fair include blood pressure checks, flu vaccines, oral cleanings, HIV/AIDS testing, and more! Additionally, local organizations will be on-site providing information about services such as job hunting, housing, legal counsel, and others.
In 2017 alone, SHOW was able to provide health services to 790 individuals experiencing homelessness, which saved $150,000 in emergency department and urgent care visits. SHOW has made a positive impact on so many lives already. Please help us continue to provide these services to those who need it most!
