Thank you so much to all of you who have contributed to our campaign so far! We are 28% of the way to our goal of $12,500!
We are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Because of your generosity, more than 150 girls are able to receive our complete program cycle for 12 months. This means that they will receive reusable sanitary pads, get sexual health and reproduction education, participate in group discussions about health issues in their communities, and engage in empowerment activities that encourage healthy relationships and increase refusal/ bargaining skills. All of this is delivered in an after-school program by our trained health facilitators.
Our dream is that 500 young girls in Tanzania get access to the full program, which is run and managed by faculty, students, and alumni at ASU. As a result, 500 young women will have access to sanitary materials that will allow them to stay healthy and stay in school, 500 girls will be empowered to talk about and take action in regards to their health, and 500 girls will be able to stand up for themselves, support their families, and live more productive lives.
Please continue to share about the work of ASU students and faculty through HEAL International and support young Tanzanian girls in achieving their dreams.
Asante sana (thank you very much).
