Who We Are:
We are the Arizona State Women's Club Lacrosse team. We compete in the Western Women's Lacrosse League - Division 1 Southern Region, which is a part of the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Association. Our team is made up of players from all around the country, and we compete in games and tournaments throughout California and Arizona. We are a club sport, which means we don't just practice and play games - we also run the club ourselves, raise a significant portion of our own funding, and give back to the community by volunteering in local events. We love lacrosse, so to help the sport grow in Arizona we offer annual lacrosse clinics to kids in grades K - 12 to show them the basics and help them develop skills.
Our Purpose:
As a sports team, our goal is to win games. That's why we spend so much time and effort on the lacrosse field and in the gym, working on our skills, improving our conditioning, and gaining strength. However, we also strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment for all college women who are interested in our sport. Anyone can join our team, regardless of skill level, and they will be given opportunities to learn the game, take on a leadership role, and of course make friendships that will last a lifetime. Every year, our goal is to qualify for Championships. After going undefeated in the preseason, we are closer to that goal than ever. With your help, we can make it there.
How You Can Help:
We are a club team, which means we are funded through our athlete's dues. In order afford our uniforms, gear, balls, fields, hotels, buses, plane tickets, and more, we do as much fundraising as we can. We love the sport of lacrosse, and we hope that everyone who wants to join our team can do so - regardless of their financial situation. The generosity of family, friends, and the community will support our program so all of us can travel with the team. Thank you for all of your support!
