What the situation is, and why it's important Since the year 2000, over 2500 people have died while crossing the Arizona-Mexico border. Most of these deaths are caused by things like dehydration and exposure to the harsh desert environment. These people are crossing into the United States for an array of reasons. Some are fleeing violence & persecution, some are seeking economic opportunities, while others are just trying to reunite with family members. A handful of humanitarian aid groups such as No More Deaths, Tucson Samaritans, and Humane Borders have organized to alleviate this death and suffering, but it's still not enough. Who we are We are a group of students who have come together as part of a course taught by Dr. Scott Warren, who has extensive experience along the Arizona-Mexico border. The course explores the humanitarian crisis of the death and suffering of undocumented border-crossers.
What we're doing We are traveling to the Arizona-Mexico border to provide humanitarian aid in the form of food, water, medical care, and other life-saving supplies. Not only will this directly impact the lives of people crossing the desert along the border, but it will also provide invaluable hands-on experience for all involved.

A gift of $66 could provide 10 survival blankets to help people survive cold desert nights.
A gift of $107 could provide one pallet of water containing 180 gallons of crucial, life-saving water.
