Build a Lab. Educate Engineers. Empower Kenya

A big thanks to all of our donors who helped us raise 131% of our goal! With the funds raised, we were able to travel to Bondo-Rarieda, Kenya to develop sustainable water resources for daily use. If you would still like to contribute to ASU’s Engineers Without Borders, gifts can now be made here: http://asufoundation.org/ewb. The Arizona State University chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-ASU) seeks to create a more stable and prosperous world by helping a small community in Bondo-Rarieda, Kenya, to develop sustainable water resources for daily use. We are a collection of all engineering disciplines with a common goal of bringing about change to a developing country. This summer we plan to build a lab that allows students to observe how water flows through pipes and channels. This lab will change the lives of the students there at the local university as they will learn practical knowledge that can be applied to sustain current and future projects for years to come.

We want to empower the citizens of Bondo to live healthy and meaningful lives while also empowering the students at ASU. While working on this project, engineering students gain the opportunity to explore, understand, and design water infrastructure. Every donation is a step closer to empowering the next generations of both ASU and Kenyan engineers alike.

Every donation goes directly to paying for a project that will allow students to gain real world engineering experience through a project that will empower citizens of Kenya. Students will gain hands on experience and a global outlook while the Kenyan community will gain a new educational tool that will empower them to develop more sustainable water infrastructure.
