Support the Chaucer Celebration

The Event

The Biennial ASU Chaucer Celebrations commemorate the life and work of medieval author Geoffrey Chaucer with events such as film festivals, concerts, drama performances, poetry readings, exhibitions of rare books in Hayden Library, and academic discussions.

The Sixth Biennial ASU Chaucer Celebration in 2018 had the title "Twenty-First-Century Chaucer." It featured readings by Patience Agbabi (an internationally known poet from London) and Kim Zarins (a professor and novelist at UC-Sacramento), an exhibition of the recently purchased rare early editions of Chaucer's works owned by Hayden Library, and a performance of a play dramatizing some of The Canterbury Tales written by Professor Pam Sterling (ASU's School of Film, Dance, and Theatre).

Why We Need Your Help

The funds supporting this project will be directed towards event costs. With your support, the Chaucer Celebration will be able to make a lasting impact not only on the ASU Community but on Arizona youth at ASU Prep and in the Phoenix Union High School District.
