Who are we?
We are 11 students from the Masters of Visual Communication Design (MVCD) program at Arizona State University.
What is the MVCD Graduation Exhibition?
In the last year of our program, we have focused on gathering research and exploring innovative solutions for our thesis topics, which are complex social issues. Each student creates a visual campaign and exhibit based on their research that raises awareness, curiosity, and inspires action toward their topic. The intent of this exhibition is to inform the general public of the issues that are affecting the world and display how graphic design can help solve these issues. The exhibition also acts as a networking event and gives students a chance to demonstrate the design knowledge they have acquired over the course of the program.
Why we need your help
Creating these exhibitions has been a long-standing tradition in the Visual Communication Design program, and they are usually planned and executed by students. As the graduating class of the MVCD program will need to pay for venue fees, catering, printed and digital promotion items, and all kinds of materials to help build each student's individual exhibition. By supporting our cause, you will be helping 11 young designers organize an event that aims to increase awareness and inspire action towards current social issues and ultimately demonstrate how visual communication design can play an important part in affecting change around the world.
One dollar for every week we've spent researching and designing for our thesis topics and campaigns to date.
Food is important at any event. A gift of this amount will help us provide delicious snacks and drinks at our exhibition.
A gift of this amount will pay for all of our small format printing costs to market the exhibition.
A gift of this amount will cover the cost of one student's personal exhibit.
If each student raises this amount, we'll be able to fully fund our Graduation Exhibition!
