ASU Law - Jurimetrics Journal

Dear Jurimetrics Alumni and friends,

I am writing to you in my capacity as the faculty advisor to Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science and Technology, a role that I have had the pleasure of holding for eight years. During that time I have seen the importance of the journal to scholars and practitioners around the world, as well as see the journal regain its place as the number 1 ranked per reviewed US journal in its category. None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary team that works to publish the journal and ensure that its content is of the highest caliber.

In 2011 alumnus Monica A. Limón-Wynn, a partner at Snell & Wilmer at the time, founded the 3L Outstanding Mentoring Award to highlight the importance that mentoring plays within the context of the journal. David Nigro, also with Snell and Wilmer, assumed the award donor partnership from Monica in 2013. For the past ten years David has funded the award at $500/year, with Snell & Wilmer often providing a match donation.

In recognition of David and Monica’s contribution to the journal, and the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law more generally, we have launched a campaign to name and endow the “David P. Nigro and Monica A. Limón-Wynn Outstanding 3L Mentor Award”. To name endow the award we need to raise $25,000. I have seeded the endowment with $1,000 meaning that we have $24,000 to still raise. Given your connection and contribution to Jurimetrics I would like to invite you to support our students and the journal by contributing to this new campaign, and the ongoing success of the journal*.

Yours sincerely,

 A/Dean Diana Bowman
