In case you missed us

October 03, 2018

In case you were unable to join us at the Biodesign C grand opening and Cactus Garden soft opening, we made a little video for you to share our cancer memorial tree and give you a preview of the garden and those who helped make it happen.

There's still time left to contribute!

Every dollar helps us create a beautiful and lasting cactus garden to honor those who have been affected by cancer and show support for the cancer research Drs. Carlo Maley and Athena Aktipis do.

Thank you for your support!

Cactus Garden Soft Opening!

September 18, 2018

In conjunction with the Biodesign Building C opening, we also opened up our little garden. Although it has only smallish cacti at the moment, it had a big impact on the people who braved the heat to take a tour with Athena and Carlo, the principle researchers on this project.

Especially endearing was the opportunity for people to contribute small metal tags to the trees in memory of people they know who have been impacted by cancer.

Choose a giving level

A Medium Cactus

A little bigger cactus than the tiny cactus. Many more spines and somatic mutations.

An Almost Large Cactus

This cactus is a grown-up, already showing its sculptural form.

A Large Cactus

This cactus is strutting its stuff, already capable of survival even with mutations.

A Grandparent Cactus

Anything over $100 will be big and beautiful.

An Ancestor Cactus

$500 plus means ancestry, history, beauty.
