In case you were unable to join us at the Biodesign C grand opening and Cactus Garden soft opening, we made a little video for you to share our cancer memorial tree and give you a preview of the garden and those who helped make it happen.
Every dollar helps us create a beautiful and lasting cactus garden to honor those who have been affected by cancer and show support for the cancer research Drs. Carlo Maley and Athena Aktipis do.

In conjunction with the Biodesign Building C opening, we also opened up our little garden. Although it has only smallish cacti at the moment, it had a big impact on the people who braved the heat to take a tour with Athena and Carlo, the principle researchers on this project.
Especially endearing was the opportunity for people to contribute small metal tags to the trees in memory of people they know who have been impacted by cancer.
