FIRST LEGO League is an exciting and fun global robotics program, designed to ignite an enthusiasm for discovery of the basic principles of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in children ranging from 4th - 8th grade. FLL uses theme-based challenges to help young students discover the fun in solving real-world problems through robots, research projects and teamwork. FLL emphasizes learning, community involvement and friendly sportsmanship.
One of our incredible all girl FLL teams from Yuma Arizona, the Super Aqua Squad, has advanced to the Global Innovation Competition is San Jose, CA. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to not only expose these young ladies to an advanced world of STEM, but to also allow them to win funds that would go towards creating an actual patent on their Aqua Box, which effectively delivers water to stranded individuals in the desert by helicopter or plane. With the high costs of travel, these ladies need our help to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity!
