The Arizona State Law Journal is a nationally recognized legal periodical that serves as the primary scholarly publication of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. The Journal promotes the development of the law by publishing scholarly articles on timely legal issues. To this end, Journal provides a forum for legal scholars and practitioners, a resource for use in their work, and an opportunity for students at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law to engage in legal research and commentary. The Journal is routinely cited in major textbooks, treatises, and opinions at all levels of the state and federal judiciary, including the United States Supreme Court. Our members take great pride in both the substantive and technical quality of our scholarship, as well as our enthusiastic, collaborative team spirit.
While we are just as excited as ever to publish the next volume of the Journal, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected our team in numerous ways. One of the practical limitations of ASLJ's work in a virtual learning environment is access to communal editing resources like style and citation guides. Our members typically use these guides to ensure the scholarship we publish is uniform and error-free, enhancing the reputation of ASU Law, and in turn, the university as a whole.ASLJ needs your help. The Journal is aiming to purchase 80 copies of the newest editions of the Bluebook and Redbook (our style guides) for our members who cannot afford them and no longer have access to on-campus resources. Our hope is that these materials, which are essential to ASLJ’s continued excellence, can then be passed down to future cohorts of ASLJ staff writers and editors.
Monetary donations as well as gently used alumni copies of the Redbook would be warmly welcomed!
