We are working on a public health initiative to reduce airborne transmission of COVID-19 and keep kids learning safely in classrooms. We are building DIY air filtration units, called Corsi-Rosenthal boxes (CR box), for local Arizona schools to improve indoor air quality and reduce exposure to virus particles by increasing indoor air filtration and ventilation. These boxes have been shown to work as effectively as portable HEPA filters at a fraction of the cost. This a simple hands-on public health intervention that has an immediate impact on the health of our local community. This critical tool can help reduce virus transmission in schools, and consequently decrease potential COVID cases and hospitalizations.
Donations will be used to purchase supplies to build these units for schools across Arizona to reduce the risk of COVID transmission in classrooms. We aim to continue to build, study, and deploy these units to communities in need.
$100 buys 1 Corsi-Rosenthal box for a classroom plus 4 replacement filters to last 1 year
