We ache for the people of Maui, Hawai‘i. Our hearts go out to those who have been devastated by the fires. In times of disaster, it is important to extend hands of support to those in need. Arizona State University recognizes that the people of Hawai‘i and local relief organizations are doing extraordinary work during a difficult time. We want to help where we can, and where we have the organizational infrastructure to truly make an impact.
ASU has established the Maui Support Fund to support those in the community facing loss or hardship due to the fires — whether alumni, students, families of students, faculty or staff or those impacted by the fires. 100% of your contribution will be used to provide financial resources that will be deployed quickly, including funding for food, shelter, goods and educational services. Additionally, a generous donor has agreed to match the first $100 of every gift, up to $10,000.
You can make a difference for your fellow Sun Devils in Hawai‘i today.
The funds raised will support those impacted by the Maui fires. The remaining funds will be directed to the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, one of the most trusted community organizations on the islands or will go to support other disaster relief efforts worldwide.
We hope to be a direct resource for the people of our community that are greatly impacted by this catastrophe. If you are an ASU student in any need of additional support, please contact deanofstudents@asu.edu.
