Celebrate the success of “US”
With 75 years of changemakers at our backs, we are the past, present, and future leaders of the nonprofit sector. The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association (NLASA) is dedicated to strengthening the nonprofit sector with a talented and prepared workforce through development opportunities, like this annual campaign. By accepting a call from one of our students and donating, you not only invest in our goal to create our world, only better, but you also allow us to gain confidence in fundraising literacy.
Our Campaign
This year, our 44th cohort of 18 students aspires to attend the UPSWELL conference in Dallas, Texas powered by The Independent Sector. During this time students in our program will hear from experts, academics, and community leaders about issues of local, state, national, and global social justice issues. Acting as an incredible professional growth opportunity UPSWELL 2023 will develop our student's 10 Core Competencies of effective leadership and management through workshops, spark talks, guest speakers, and focus groups.
Our Theme
Legacy. Invest in the legacy we aspire to leave or honor your legacy. Our leadership philosophy follows the process of Me, We, Us. The individual “Me” never stands alone but rather with a community, our “We,” to grow and catalyze change for all of “Us.” Our campaign pays homage to our Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) family, drawing strength from all of the accomplishments and impacts that are a result of the leaders cultivated by the NLASA community.
You Inspire Us
YOU, our community of alumni, mentors, teachers, and family, have served as lodestars in our journey to change the world and inspired us to follow in your footsteps and leave legacies of our own. We ask that you think of those who have invested in your journey and, in their honor, invest in us yet again because We need you.
The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association (NLASA) - formerly known as American Humanics - is a group of students driven to make an impact in their communities seeking to receive the nationally recognized Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential. Because of lodestars like you the NLASA, continues to inspire and enable leaders like “Me”.

Give $150 to provide 7 meals for students on this 4 day trip!
The Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential is the preferred national certification for those entering the social sector. $100 covers the credentialing fee for one future nonprofit professional, $300 will allow 3 students to further their professional development!
Giving $500 will cover a student's entire airfare expense and allow us to travel to and from the conference! You're amazing!
