Be a Catalyst for Change
Chemical Engineering is not just a degree; it's a gateway to a world of innovation, impact, and limitless possibilities. We want to ensure that this program continues to thrive and benefit students for years to come!
That’s why we are establishing the Chemical Engineering Catalyst Fund. This fund will allow program leadership to direct funding towards emerging opportunities that sometimes aren’t initially top-of-mind for donors, but that are of vital importance to the Chemical Engineering program and its students.
One example, a donor gave $5,000 to the program and the funds were used to buy a PCR machine for the Chemical Engineering training lab.
Thanks to a generous matching gift from Jim Lommen (ASU Alum ’75), the first $5,000 donated will be matched dollar for dollar. By making a contribution you have the opportunity to double your impact and help us raise the initial $25,000 for the Chemical Engineering Catalyst Fund.
Your contribution, no matter the size, has a profound impact. With a goal of $25,000, we're driving groundbreaking research, supporting students' educational journeys, and fostering a collaborative community that thrives on innovation and inclusion.
Donors can enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that their financial support will be expertly guided and used for the common good of the Chemical Engineering program, without the pressure of having to decide exactly which projects, specific parameters or amount. With a discretionary gift, that responsibility is given over to the leadership who are committed to the success of the program.
About the Program
Chemical Engineering is a lot more than just chemistry. Mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology come together to enable chemical engineers to create, develop, and design new technologies and processes for converting raw materials into more useful products, forging a better future for us all.
In the Chemical Engineering program at ASU, students are encouraged to individualize their educational experience through coursework, research and discovery, cross-discipline exploration, internships, and professional society activities. Through this multi-faceted approach, students learn how to design safe, efficient, sustainable and economical processes and products.
The Chemical Engineering program is internationally recognized and competitive. Recognized among the Top 50 Chemical Engineering Programs by U.S. News & World Report, our students and faculty tackle real-world problems using multidisciplinary solutions to advance understanding and build a better tomorrow.
Extensive research facilities, world-renowned faculty and a distinctive research environment all come together to drive forward our innovative program in Chemical Engineering.
Your generosity helps purchase essential lab supplies for student experiments.
Your contribution goes towards creating informative workshops for students on cutting-edge technologies.
Your support enables us to host guest lectures by industry experts, enhancing students' exposure to real-world insights.
Your donation helps fund research materials, allowing students to delve into advanced projects.
Your generosity accelerates the creation of innovation hubs where students can experiment and collaborate freely.
Your leadership helps equip advanced research labs with state-of-the-art instruments, propelling our program to excellence.
