Pat Tillman Veterans Center Inaugural Salute to Service Golf Tournament

The Pat Tillman Veterans Center proudly announces its Inaugural Golf Tournament, a premier event dedicated to supporting our veteran community. Join us for a day of camaraderie, competition, and celebration on the greens as we come together to honor the legacy of Pat Tillman. This exciting tournament will feature a shotgun start and a 4-person best ball format, offering participants the chance to enjoy a round of golf on a pristine course. Immediately following the tournament, there will be a lunch reception consisting of an awards presentation, allowing everyone to celebrate the day’s achievements and contributions.

All proceeds from the event will directly fund the Pat Tillman Veterans Center Scholarship, providing crucial financial support to veteran students pursuing their educational goals. In a unique twist, sponsors will have the opportunity to team up with students majoring in their respective industries. This arrangement not only enhances the tournament experience but also provides valuable networking opportunities for both sponsors and students. Sponsors can connect with the next generation of professionals in their field, while students gain insights and mentorship from industry leaders. Whether you're an avid golfer or a passionate supporter of our veterans, this tournament promises to be a memorable and impactful experience. Your participation helps ensure that our veterans receive the recognition and assistance they deserve.

Proceeds benefit the Pat Tillman Veterans Center Scholarship

Donating to the Pat Tillman Veterans Center Scholarship honors the legacy of Pat Tillman, who exemplified service, sacrifice, and leadership by providing essential financial support to veterans and active-duty service members. These individuals have made significant sacrifices for their country, and donations help them transition to civilian life and build successful careers through education.

The need for this support is pressing, as many veterans face substantial financial challenges when pursuing higher education, often compounded by the difficulties of reentering civilian society. This scholarship alleviates the financial burdens associated with higher education, empowering recipients with the knowledge and skills needed for personal and professional growth.

Donors foster community and patriotism by showing appreciation for military personnel and their families. The scholarship creates a positive and lasting impact on recipients' lives, helping them become future leaders who can make meaningful contributions to society. At the same time, donors are satisfied knowing they have made a tangible difference. Your support through this charity golf tournament will directly contribute to these efforts, ensuring our veterans receive the opportunities they deserve to thrive in their post-military careers.

About the Pat Tillman Veterans Center

Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower and engage our ASU military and veteran community with their academic and personal success here at ASU and beyond.

What we do

The Pat Tillman Veterans Center serves the students and families who have served our country by helping them succeed on their college journey and preparing them for life after they graduate. College is a major transition for any student, and even more so for military-affiliated students because of their overall life experience and divergent path to college. The Pat Tillman Veterans Center assists active-duty, veteran and veteran-dependent students with their military education benefits and offers programs, events, and a place where student veterans can connect with and support each other.

Who we are

The Pat Tillman Veterans Center staff includes veterans, current military personnel, dependent family members, and others connected to the military or veteran experience. Many of our team members have walked the same path current student veterans and military-connected learners are now traveling. This enables the veterans center staff to build a strong framework of guidance and support for our military-affiliated students.
