Seyedamin Hashemi is a PhD candidate at ASU studying electrical engineering and is one of this year’s recipients of the Iranian American Alumni Scholarship. As an engineer, Seyedamin is committed to continuously expanding his knowledge and staying up to date with advancements in his field.
“This scholarship will significantly impact my experience at ASU by enabling me to enroll in various certified programs that will enhance my skills and understanding,” Seyedamin said.
Seyedamin chose to attend ASU because of its diverse community, comprehensive research opportunities and strong reputation for innovation.
“I have always been passionate about technology and innovation, and I enjoy engaging in projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible,” he said.
In the future, Seyedamin aims to further advance the field of bio-implantable devices and translate these innovations into commercially available healthcare solutions.
“Specifically, I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients with cancer, particularly those suffering from brain tumors, by finding new treatments or extending their lifespans,” said Seyedamin.
In his free time, Seyedamin enjoys exploring new hobbies, such as hiking, that keep his creativity flowing and complement his academic pursuits.
Across the nation, the ASU Alumni Association has awarded over 500 scholarships worth nearly $500,000 since 2014. Support Iranian American Chapter scholars, like Seyedamin, by donating today!
