Clara Rodden is a first-year ASU student and is this year’s recipient of the ASU Alumni Los Angeles Chapter Scholarship. Clara chose to attend ASU because of its study abroad programs, student community and great academics. Interested in double majoring at ASU, she is excited to learn more about various fields of study during her time as a student.
“Arizona State truly embodies my dream school and I feel so lucky to be able to attend! I'm so excited to be on campus and with fellow classmates,” Clara said.
Clara’s scholarship allows her to feel connected to her California roots while building a new home in Arizona.
“Being given this award has opened me up to a community of people who have either attended or will be attending ASU,” Clara said. “Coming from California, I only know a few people who live in Arizona, so having Los Angeles ASU alumni at my back can help me feel a connection to my hometown.”
This year, Clara is excited to attend football games and cheer with her classmates in the student section.
“I'm so excited for freshman year and to meet all of my fellow Sun Devils!”
