A first-year student from La Plata, Maryland, Reagan Savoy is this year’s recipient of the ASU Alumni National Capital Scholarship. Reagan is majoring in computer science with an emphasis in cybersecurity.
“This scholarship is meaningful to me as the first female in my family to pursue a STEM degree, offering financial assistance and bringing me closer to my educational goals at ASU,” Reagan said. “I am determined to contribute to the technology field and inspire more women to pursue careers in STEM.”
Reagan knew she wanted to attend ASU since she was a junior in high school. She is most looking forward to joining clubs, making new friends and immersing herself in a new environment.
During her time at ASU, she hopes to secure leadership positions in various clubs, maintain a strong GPA and pursue a masters degree with ASU’s accelerated program.
In her free time, Reagan enjoys playing video games and spending quality time with family and friends.
