Born and raised in Northern California, Aniyah Morris is clinical exercise science student at ASU and one of the recipients of the 2024 ASU Alumni Northern California Scholarship.
Aniyah was drawn to ASU because of its educational opportunities, resources, support systems and student life on campus.
“After visiting the Downtown Phoenix campus, I knew I needed to be here,” Aniyah said.
Aniyah is looking forward to attending special ASU events and is excited to expand her network of relationships and connections. During her time at ASU, Aniyah aims to maintain good academic standing, partake in internships and eventually participate in the clinical exercise physiology accelerated master’s program. After graduation, she hopes to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
“Receiving this scholarship will ease the burden placed on my mother as she continues to support me through higher education, take care of my younger sister, work multiple jobs and obtain another degree all on her own,” Aniyah said.
In her free time, Aniyah loves spending time outdoors, listening to music, exercising, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. This fall, she is serving as an ASU peer facilitator at the College of Health Solutions.
