Kaili Hellewell is from Irvine, California and is this year’s recipient of the Orange County ASU Alumni Chapter Scholarship. She plans on double majoring in psychology and fashion business management and chose to attend ASU after touring in high school.
“I had been interested in out-of-state schools that have a good football team, campus life and the opportunity to join a sorority. ASU checked all of my boxes and more relating to the types of degree programs,” Kaili said.
Kaili plans to graduate with her masters degree and aspires to create her own fashion brand built on sustainability and inclusivity.
“This scholarship will help me with the overall cost of getting my higher education. I am looking forward to all of the events I get to be a part of and all the people I am going to meet,” she said.
For Kaili, Sun Devil pride runs deep within the family.
“My mom attended ASU when she went to college, and now I get to share this experience with her,” she said.
So far, Kaili’s favorite ASU tradition has been going to ‘Devil’s Walk’ on Game Day. In her free time, Kaili loves to dance, read, bake and spend time with her friends, family and cats.
Across the nation, the ASU Alumni Association has awarded over 500 scholarships worth nearly $500,000 since 2014. Support Orange County Sun Devils, like Kaili, by donating today!
