Jack Brooks is a recipient of the ASU Alumni San Diego Chapter Scholarship and is a first-year student attending ASU’s Cronkite School.
“By attending ASU with this scholarship, I am able to build a phenomenal network with the great students and industry professionals around me,” Jack said.
Excited for the numerous opportunities offered by the Cronkite School, Jack recognizes the exclusive experiences that are made available by attending ASU.
“The Cronkite School is the country’s premier Journalism and Mass Communication school, offering unmatched resources and opportunities…Cronkite students benefit from exceptional opportunities, including internships, collaborations with D1 athletic programs and various extracurriculars,” he said.
Jack is most excited to meet other students who share a passion for sports journalism and establish a network of connections and friendships. He is eager to put into practice the skills and knowledge that will be gained during his time as a student.
“One of the many reasons why I chose ASU over other universities is because of the wide range of learning opportunities it offers,” said Jack.
As a first-year Sun Devil, Jack is looking forward to experiencing the rivalry between ASU and U of A during the Territorial Cup football game.
“I can’t wait to see the Sun Devils with the brand-new Big 12 logo on their jerseys facing U of A,” Jack said. “I already know my favorite ASU saying: No Pity for the Kitty.”
