Brooklyn Salkin is this year’s recipient of the Seattle ASU Alumni Chapter Scholarship. These funds are helping Brooklyn pay for her tuition and textbooks, making it easier for her to fund her learning.
“I care a lot about my education and pursuing something I am passionate about,” she said.
Brooklyn chose to attend ASU because of the academic resources, advising team and beauty of the West Valley campus.
“I am most looking forward to meeting new people and getting involved in the community. I wanted to choose a school that felt right to me, and ASU gave me the best feeling,” said Brooklyn.
During her time at ASU, Brooklyn hopes to explore CSI and discover which areas of forensics interests her the most.
“I am working toward pursuing an internship in the field of forensic science. I want to succeed in my education so I can pursue my passions.”
So far, Brooklyn has enjoyed playing intramural volleyball, which has allowed her to work with a team and make new friends.
“I am very excited to continue my education at ASU and explore more opportunities along the way!”
