Nicholas McCoy is studying Supply Chain Management with a minor in Sustainability on the Tempe campus.
The senior student says he is truly grateful for the ASU Alumni Association Veterans Chapter scholarship, “This scholarship will go a long way in helping me achieve my academic and career goals,” he said.
“As a veteran student, I originally chose to attend ASU after learning of Pat Tillman’s legacy along with all of the great stories I have heard about from veteran students attending ASU,” he recalled.
McCoy serves as Vice President of the Student Veterans club at ASU. “I am looking forward to helping new incoming veterans transition into civilian life and assist with (their) future goals of furthering their academic careers,” he explained.
For his career, McCoy would like to work as a supply chain manager and use his minor in sustainability to one day impact how major supply chains are run. “By coordinating efforts throughout the entire supply chain I want major companies to shift toward being net positive and sustainable. One day I hope to work for a large company and focus on those sustainability initiatives,” he said.
