Hanna Horne is a recipient of this year’s White Mountain Alumni Chapter Scholarship and is expected to graduate in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education (history).
“I am a fourth-generation Sun Devil and I am proud to be one!” Hanna said. “As I was deciding where to attend college, ASU's education program stuck out to me as it is one of the top education programs in the country.”
This year, Hanna is most excited for student teaching and putting her skills into practice in the classroom. After finishing her bachelor’s degree, she hopes to pursue a master’s degree and eventually a PhD. Hanna is grateful for her awarded scholarship funds and is looking forward to giving back to her White Mountain community.
“I love learning and want to continue to develop my knowledge and academic skill set,” Hanna said.
“When I finish my master's program, I want to teach in a public school for a while and eventually transition into higher education as a professor and researcher. I would love to bring my learning back to the White Mountain and support the community.”
During her time at ASU, Hanna has enjoyed supporting her fellow students by attending sporting and fine arts events. Hanna loves music, history and all things Disney.
Across the nation, the ASU Alumni Association has awarded over 500 scholarships worth nearly $500,000 since 2014. Support White Mountain Sun Devils, like Hanna, by donating today!
