Young Alumni Chapter Scholarship

Seneca Samiley is the recipient of this year’s ASU Young Alumni Scholarship and has lived in Arizona for the majority of her life. Seneca played varsity volleyball for Chandler High School and has continued her athletic career at the collegiate level. During her time at ASU, she has served as vice president of the Women’s Club Volleyball team and director of communications on the Sports Clubs’s executive board. 

“I coach volleyball and enjoy sharing my love for the game with today’s youth. This scholarship will greatly enhance my ASU experience by helping me achieve my academic and career goals,” Seneca said. 

Seneca chose to attend ASU for its abundance of career-enhancement opportunities and hopes to eventually become a successful businesswoman. 

“I am driven by my intellectual curiosity and natural desire to find solutions to problems. I aspire to one day become an expert in my field and earn a doctorate degree,” Seneca said. 

This year, Seneca is excited to attend sporting events and celebrate ASU’s entrance into the Big 12 Conference. 

“Growing up, I never imagined that I would attend Arizona State University,” Seneca said. “Now, I can proudly say that I love this school and am filled with Sun Devil spirit.”
