What is Clarizona?
Clarizona is a clarinet choir comprised of approximately 40 students of many diverse ages and degrees, including undergraduates, Masters, and Doctoral students. These students represent countries from all around the world--US, Canada, China, and Korea. All students are members of the ASU Clarinet Studio, take private lessons every week, and play in ASU ensembles.
What are we doing?
Clarizona was invited to perform at ClarinetFest 2016 in Lawrence, Kansas from August 3-7. This is the first time that the ASU Clarinet Studio has been featured at ClarinetFest. ClarinetFest 2016 is the annual conference held by the International Clarinet Association. Performing groups are chosen through a highly-selective jury process. The inspiration for this conference is "a person that makes someone want to do or create something." With that in mind, our performance will be dedicated to the memory of Belgian clarinet educator, Guido Six, who inspired our group's creation.
Why we need your help?
We need your help to fund travel and lodging for the 40 members of our choir to attend and perform at the conference. Your donation will help us make this historical event a reality!
