Slow the Changing of the Earth's Climate

With your support, ASU's climate researchers can address how human activities and changing climate affect each other, and to further understand the policies and actions needed to ameliorate unfavorable climatic conditions - to ensure that human needs are met in conditions of uncertainty. 

Center for Negative Carbon Emissions: Each year we pump tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Trees help absorb carbon dioxide, but we can't plant them fast enough to keep up with the rate of emissions. Help the Center for Negative Carbon Emissions develop "artificial trees" that capture carbon dioxide up to 1,000 times more efficient that nature's trees. Your support will help accelerate the transition to cleaner air for our planet and our people.

CBO NatureNet Postdoc Fellowship: The Center for Biodiversity Outcomes supports research projects and partnerships that focus on developing innovative solutions to biodiversity challenges. CBO partners with The Nature Conservancy to support post-doctoral fellows who advance biodiversity in corporate sustainability, well-being, governance, urbanization, and education. Your support will help conserve marine reserves, save endangered species, and push for responsible business practices to preserve our natural resources.

Cap and Trade: Your generosity will help develop a tool that can highlight climate change and environmental legislative proposals and their impacts. Information will be shared in the classroom as well as with the public to create a well-informed electorate.

We Stand with Paris App: Your support will help develop an interactive exploration tool to motivate, educate, and empower individual citizens around the world to make personal commitments aligned with the Paris Climate Agreement that are achievable and meaningful. The tool will enable the user to interactively explore the Paris Climate Agreement, compare and contrast national commitments, calculate your individual carbon footprint, model and forecast the impact of your choices, digitally sign an individual pledge and share and publicize that pledge through social media.
