What is the Problem that this scholarship is solving?
In order to earn a Masters degree in Sports Law & Business (MSLB), students need to earn 6 internship credits which equates to around 330 - 360 hours. Internships are seldom paid in order to receive the required academic credit. Each student is required to dedicate hundreds of hours and must forego the many benefits that are accompanied with the program experience. Therefore, students must choose between paying for school and living expenses, or taking full advantage of the exclusive opportunities that the program offers while accumulating severe student loan debt.
How is this scholarship the solution?
The Sports Law & Business Scholarship will help reduce this financial burden for students to fully immerse themselves in the MSLB experience. This will allow students to take advantage of internships, guest speakers, networking opportunities, volunteering, and professional development that the program offers.
